  • Counsellor 2 – Cameron House

    COUNSELLOR 2 – Cameron House
    TEMPORARY, FULL TIME – 72 hours bi-weekly

    This position is expected to begin on or about Sunday, March 1, 2026 and is expected to end on or about July 1, 2026 with the possibility of an extension or early ending.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Post-secondary education in social services from a recognized Ontario College.
    • Experience working in the mental health or developmental services field with case management responsibility.
    • A mature and conscientious individual who is creative, flexible and able to lead a team in developing and implementing personal plans in accordance with the individual’s needs and desires as well as maximizing the integration of residents into the community.
    • Proven ability to coordinate the administration of several simultaneous projects including residential services, community relations and special services for people with disabilities (developmental, behavioural, psychiatric, physical and/or medical) would be an asset.
    • Tact, diplomacy and initiative suitable to deal with management, co-workers, families and professionals is essential to ensure continuity and effective teamwork.

    Hourly Rate: per CUPE Collective Agreement (Union position)

  • Casual Staff for TayCare Children’s Centres

    Supply staff are required for our Childcare Centres in Perth. Our Childcare Programs provide care for children from 18 months to 12 years of age.

    Required Qualifications:

    • ECE and/or extensive experience in the field;
    • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (if ECE);
    • Ability to work various shifts between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.;
    • A Police Vulnerable Sector Check from within the past 6 months;
    • Have or be willing to take CPR and First Aid.

    Starting Rate: Casual rate as per CUPE Collective Agreement (Union Position)

  • Casual Residential Counsellors

    Casual work in five support homes for people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities.  As part of a team, provides support through individual’s Person Centred Plans designed to  promote personal welfare, independence and inclusion.  Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, nights, including weekends and holidays.  

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Community College diploma in social services from a recognized Ontario College of Applied Arts & Technology and/or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities;
    • Have or be willing to take CPR/First Aid and CPI;
    • Have a valid G driver’s license;
    • Have a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check.

    Pay Rate:  as per Collective Agreement CUPE Local 4474 (Union Position).
