- Educator – Junior Centre
75 hours bi-weekly – Temporary, Part-Time Position, split shifts.
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL POSTING #250402 – TayCare Children’s Centre – Educator – Junior CentreAs part of a child care team, you will assist staff in providing a daily program for children in a safe, secure environment in accordance with the goals and curriculum plans of the program and the Child Care and Early Years Act. Educator must be familiar with the “How Does Learning Happen?” document. Fulfill all the obligations and responsibilities as outlined in the job description. The hours of work will be determined by enrolment and operational requirements and are subject to change.
Required Qualifications:
- RECE or non-ECE (RECE preferred);
- If ECE, be a member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators;
- Have Standard First Aid and CPR prior to start;
- Have a current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check.
Pay Rate: as per Collective Agreement CUPE Local 4474
This position is expected to begin on or about April 28, 2025 and is expected to end on or about June 26, 2026, with a possibility of extension or early return.

Required Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in social services from a recognized Ontario College.
- Experience working in the mental health or developmental services field with case management responsibility.
- A mature and conscientious individual who is creative, flexible and able to lead a team in developing and implementing personal plans in accordance with the individual’s needs and desires as well as maximizing the integration of residents into the community.
- Proven ability to coordinate the administration of several simultaneous projects including residential services, community relations and special services for people with disabilities (developmental, behavioural, psychiatric, physical and/or medical) would be an asset.
- Tact, diplomacy and initiative suitable to deal with management, co-workers, families and professionals is essential to ensure continuity and effective teamwork.
- Pharmacology course from a recognized Ontario College or equivalent.
- CPR, First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) training.
- Valid G driver’s license, driver’s abstract and regular access to a vehicle and appropriate insurance.
