60 hours bi-weekly – Permanent, Part-Time Position
INTERNAL/EXTERNAL POSTING #250103 – TayCare Children’s Centre – Before and After School RECE Educator or Child and Youth Worker – St. John Elementary SchoolAs part of a child care team, you will assist staff in providing a daily program for children in a safe, secure environment in accordance with the goals and curriculum plans of the program and the Child Care and Early Years Act. Educator must be familiar with the “How Does Learning Happen?” document. Fulfill all the obligations and responsibilities as outlined in the job description. The hours of work will be determined by enrolment and operational requirements and are subject to change.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be RECE or Child and Youth Worker;
- If RECE, must be a member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators;
- Have or be willing to take Standard First Aid and CPR prior to start;
- Have a current Vulnerable Sector Check.
Pay Rate: as per Collective Agreement CUPE Local 4474
This position is expected to begin on or about January 27, 2025.

As part of a team, provides supports through individuals’ Person Centred Plans designed to promote personal welfare, independence and inclusion. Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, nights, including weekends and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Community College diploma in social services from a recognized Ontario College of Applied Arts & Technology and/or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities;
- Community College course in pharmacology;
- Have or be willing to take CPR/First Aid and CPI;
- Valid driver’s license;
- A current vulnerable sector screening criminal reference check.
