  • Head Teacher – TayCare St. John’s Before and After Program And TayCare Junior

    Permanent Position

    Head Teacher – TayCare St. John’s Before and After Program And TayCare Junior
    60 hours bi-weekly (7:00-9:30 a.m. and 3:00-5:00 p.m. at St. John’s B&A and 9:30-1:30 at TayCare Junior
    INTERNAL POSTING

    As Head Teacher you will be responsible for the day to day supervision of staff and children in the before and after school program. You will be responsible for communicating with the principal and teachers, in the school in which your program is located, in a professional and cooperative manner. As part of a child care team, you will assist staff in providing a daily program for kindergarten and school age children in a safe, secure environment in accordance with the goals and curriculum plans of the program and the Child Care and Early Years Act. Fulfill all the obligations and responsibilities as outlined in the job description. The hours of work will be determined by enrolment and operational requirements and are subject to change.

    Required Qualifications:

    • ECE;
    • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators;
    • Experience in a supervisory position an asset;
    • At least 2 years experience in a licensed child care setting;
    • A current vulnerable sector screening criminal reference check;
    • Have or be willing to take CPR and First Aid.

    Pay Rate: as per CUPE 4474 Collective Agreement

    Start date for the position will be on or about April 6, 2020.

  • Casual Staff for TayCare Children’s Centres

    Supply staff are required for our Child Care Centres in Perth. Our Child Care Programs provide care for children from 1.5 years to 12 years of age.

    Required Qualifications:

    • ECE and/or extensive experience in the field;
    • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (if ECE);
    • A Police Vulnerable Sector Check from within the past 6 months;
    • Have or be willing to take CPR and First Aid;

    Rate: Casual rate as per CUPE Collective Agreement (Union Position)

  • Job Posting – Casual Residential Counsellors

    Casual work in five support homes for people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. As part of a team, provides supports through individuals’ Person Centred Plans designed to promote personal welfare, independence and inclusion. Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, nights, including weekends and holidays.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Community College diploma in social services from a recognized Ontario College of Applied Arts & Technology and/or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities;
    • Community College course in pharmacology;
    • Have or be willing to take CPR/First Aid and CPI;
    • Valid driver’s license;
    • A current vulnerable sector screening criminal reference check.
