  • Before and After School REC Educator

    65 hours bi-weekly – Temporary, Part-Time Position
    INTERNAL/EXTERNAL POSTING #240706 – Before and After School – RECE – St. John’s Elementary School

    As part of a child care team, you will assist staff in providing a daily program for children in a safe, secure environment in accordance with the goals and curriculum plans of the program and the Child Care and Early Years Act. Educator must be familiar with the “How Does Learning Happen?” document. Fulfill all the obligations and responsibilities as outlined in the job description. The hours of work and location will be determined by enrolment and operational requirements and are subject to change.

    Required Qualifications:

    • RECE;
    • Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators;
    • A current Police Vulnerable Sector Check;
    • Have or be willing to take Standard First Aid and CPR prior to start

    Pay Rate: as per Collective Agreement CUPE Local 4474

    This position is expected to begin on or about September 3, 2024 and end on or about July 1, 2025.

  • Counsellor 1 – Cameron House

    Internal/External Posting #240705

    COUNSELLOR 1 – Cameron House
    TEMPORARY, FULL-TIME – 72 hours bi-weekly

    This position is expected to begin on or about Sunday, August 4, 2024 and is expected to end on or about Saturday, August 16, 2025.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum education & skill requirement: Post-secondary education in social services from a recognized Ontario College or equivalent field related experience is preferred.
    • Experience in Community Residential Services and Programming as related to intellectually delayed persons, with knowledge and experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis.
    • A successfully completed Pharmacology course from a recognized Ontario College or equivalent.
    • A mature and conscientious individual who is creative, flexible and interested in maximizing the integration of residents into the community.
    • Training in First Aid, CPR and CPI, and other delegated acts pertinent to individual needs

    You must have a valid G driver’s license, possession of a vehicle for work and appropriate insurance. Tact, diplomacy and initiative suitable to deal with others in management positions, co-workers and volunteers are essential to ensure continuity and effective teamwork.

    Hourly Rate: per CUPE Collective Agreement (Union position)

  • Casual Staff for TayCare Children’s Centres

    Supply staff are required for our Child Care Centres in Perth. Our Child Care Programs provide care for children from 1.5 years to 12 years of age.

    Required Qualifications:

    • ECE and/or extensive experience in the field;
    • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (if ECE);
    • A Police Vulnerable Sector Check from within the past 6 months;
    • Have or be willing to take CPR and First Aid;

  • Job Posting – Casual Residential Counsellors

    Casual work in five support homes for people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. As part of a team, provides supports through individuals’ Person Centred Plans designed to promote personal welfare, independence and inclusion. Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, nights, including weekends and holidays.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Community College diploma in social services from a recognized Ontario College of Applied Arts & Technology and/or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities;
    • Community College course in pharmacology;
    • Have or be willing to take CPR/First Aid and CPI;
    • Valid driver’s license;
    • A current vulnerable sector screening criminal reference check.
