  • Before and After School Head Educator/Educator

    Internal POSTING #230903
    Permanent Full-Time – 80 hours bi-weekly
    (Before and After School Head Educator, St. John’s School 68 hours biweekly) and (Educator, TayCare Junior or TayCare Wilson 12 hours biweekly).

    As Head Educator you will be responsible for the day to day supervision of staff and children in the Before and After School Program. You will be responsible for communicating with the principal and teachers in the school in which your program is located in a professional and cooperative manner. As part of a child care team, you will assist staff in providing a daily program for kindergarten and school aged children in a safe, secure environment in accordance with the goals and curriculum plans of the program and the Child Care and Early Years Act. Fulfill all the obligations and responsibilities as outlined in the job description. The hours of work will be determined by enrolment and operational requirements and are subject to change. At Junior and Wilson Centres you will be responsible for following through on classromm routines and duties.

    Required Qualifications:

    • RECE;
    • Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators;
    • Experience in a supervisory position an asset;
    • At least 2 years experience in a licensed childcare setting;
    • Have or be willing to take Standard First Aid and CPR.

    Pay Rate: as per Collective Agreement CUPE Local 4474

    This position is expected to begin on or about October 16, 2023.

  • Casual Staff for TayCare Children’s Centres

    Supply staff are required for our Child Care Centres in Perth. Our Child Care Programs provide care for children from 1.5 years to 12 years of age.

    Required Qualifications:

    • ECE and/or extensive experience in the field;
    • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (if ECE);
    • A Police Vulnerable Sector Check from within the past 6 months;
    • Have or be willing to take CPR and First Aid;

    Rate: Casual rate as per CUPE Collective Agreement (Union Position)

  • Job Posting – Casual Residential Counsellors

    Casual work in five support homes for people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. As part of a team, provides supports through individuals’ Person Centred Plans designed to promote personal welfare, independence and inclusion. Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, nights, including weekends and holidays.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Community College diploma in social services from a recognized Ontario College of Applied Arts & Technology and/or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities;
    • Community College course in pharmacology;
    • Have or be willing to take CPR/First Aid and CPI;
    • Valid driver’s license;
    • A current vulnerable sector screening criminal reference check.
