TayCare Children’s Centres provide full and part-time daycare programs in Perth for children from 18 months to 12 years of age. Children with special needs are welcome in all of our programs. All TayCare programs are licensed under the Child Care and Early Years Act.

Staff

Qualified staff are members of the College of Early Childhood Educators; full-time staff have up to 25 years of experience in the child care field, and all staff have Standard First Aid, CPR training, and a clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check. Staff take part in workshops regularly to keep them up to date on new ideas and strategies in the child care field.

Fees

Fees are set each year by the Tayside Board of Directors. If you have any questions about our fees, please email tcjunior@tayside.ca or call 613-267-6542.

Fee subsidies are available to parents who qualify under a provincially regulated income test; eligibility is determined based on guidelines established by the Lanark County
Children Services. Fee subsidy applications are administered by the County of Lanark; the department in charge of subsidy requests can be contacted at 613-267-4200 ex. 2303. Before applying for a subsidy, parents must find a licensed child care facility that best fits their needs.

Our child care programs are offered at five convenient locations in Perth:

TayCare Junior Children’s Centre
(2066 Scotch Line Rd.) offers both full and half day care for toddlers and preschoolers

TayCare Wilson Children’s Centre
(100 Wilson St. East) offers both full and half day care for toddlers and preschoolers

TayCare Queen Elizabeth School Program
(80 Wilson St. East) offers before and after school care for kindergarten and school age children

TayCare St. John’s Elementary School Program
(34 Wilson St. East) offers before and after school care for kindergarten and school age children

TayCare Stewart School Program
(7 Sunset Blvd.) offers before and after school care for kindergarten and school age children

Kindergarten and School Age Full Days
Full Day program is offered at one of our Before and After School locations for Kindergarten and School Age children from all our programs, for most school holidays and PA Days, plus a Summer Camp during Summer School Break
