Our Current Board Members

Stephen Tennant (Chair) joined the Tayside Board in 1989. Prior to retiring, he worked supporting adults with developmental disabilities and has been active in a number of organizations supporting those in the community, such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Ontario Special Olympics, Stewart Park Festival and The Legal Clinic.
Jennifer Beaudoin, (Vice Chair) has served as a dedicated Tayside Board member since 2019. With a strong background in both legal and social disciplines, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and Sociology. Since 2013, Jennifer has been a valued member of JB Forest Products Ltd, bringing extensive industry knowledge and strategic insight to the team.
Mary-Lynn Paul (Treasurer) obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialization in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University and has been teaching with the Upper Canada District School Board for most of her career. She has taught at the primary level and has also worked with special needs children for ten years. Mary-Lynn joined the Tayside Board in 2009.
Katharine Melanson (Secretary) ) is originally from New Brunswick. Katharine moved to Perth in 2019 after graduating law school in Windsor. She is involved with the Canadian Federation of University Women and Little League Baseball in Perth. Outside of the office, you can find Katharine either in the woods camping and hiking or weightlifting in one of the local gyms. Katharine joined the Tayside Board in 2022; she has been the secretary since 2024.
Rob Umpherson (Past Chair) recently retired from a teaching career at the elementary school level. He is an active member of the Perth Citizen’s Band and joined the Tayside Board in 2007.
Donna Davidson worked as the Director of Lanark Community Programs for many years and has served on several Boards in the area. She joined the Tayside Board in 1989, and has an extensive background in farming, teaching, and social work.
Sandra MacGregor joined Tayside’s Board of Directors in 2023 after nearly forty years as an Early Childhood Educator in Perth. Thirty-one of these years were spent as the Child Care Centre Supervisor. She also was a Girl Guide/Brownie leader for sixteen years and was on the Executive Committee of the Perth Figure Skating Club for several years.
