COUNSELLOR 2 – Brady House
TEMPORARY, FULL TIME – 72 hours bi-weekly
This position is expected to begin on or about Sunday, April 27, 2025 and is expected to end Saturday, July 19, 2025 with a possibility of extension or early return.
Required Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in social services from a recognized Ontario College.
- Experience working in the mental health or developmental services field with case management responsibility.
- A mature and conscientious individual who is creative, flexible and able to lead a team in developing and implementing personal plans in accordance with the individual’s needs and desires as well as maximizing the integration of residents into the community.
- Proven ability to coordinate the administration of several simultaneous projects including residential services, community relations and special services for people with disabilities (developmental, behavioural, psychiatric, physical and/or medical) would be an asset.
- Tact, diplomacy and initiative suitable to deal with management, co-workers, families and professionals is essential to ensure continuity and effective teamwork.
- Pharmacology course from a recognized Ontario College or equivalent.
- CPR, First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) training.
- Valid G driver’s license, driver’s abstract and regular access to a vehicle and appropriate insurance.
Hourly Rate: per CUPE Collective Agreement (Union position)
